How do I qualify for the Student plan? ⌄
The Student plan is $15/month for students with a valid academic email address, verified at sign-up. Personal addresses (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook) cannot be used. The plan is not currently offered in the EU, EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, so an academic address in those regions will be declined at sign-up; use the Free plan or Professional instead.
Can I use a personal email for Enterprise? ⌄
No, Enterprise demos require a company email. We use it to route your request to the right team and verify your organization. If your company uses a custom domain (e.g. yourname@acme.com), you're good to go.
How is usage measured? ⌄
Every plan is sized as a multiple of Free: Student is 4× Free and Professional is 20× Free, so Professional is 5× Student. Usage is drawn down per completion. Simple Ask Mode queries use very little, while Agent Mode operations and Drawings generation use more depending on how much work the model does. Your dashboard shows how much of your monthly allowance you have used as a percentage. Unused allowance does not roll over.
Can I switch plans later? ⌄
Yes, upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. Annual plans can be converted to monthly at renewal.
How does billing work? ⌄
All plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard, your access continues through the end of the current billing period.
What payment methods do you accept? ⌄
All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx), as well as ACH transfer and wire for Enterprise customers. Enterprise contracts can also be billed annually with NET-30 terms.
How much does CADABRA cost?
CADABRA has a free plan with no card required. Student is $15/month with a valid .edu address, Professional is $99/month for commercial use by an individual engineer, and Enterprise is custom priced with Drawings Mode, custom standards, SSO, zero-retention handling, and a dedicated engineer.
Is there a free version?
Yes. The Free plan needs no card and includes baseline monthly usage, Ask Mode against your CAD model, live web search, and read-only model understanding. Every paid plan is a multiple of that baseline usage.
Who qualifies for student pricing?
Students with a valid academic email address in a supported region. The plan is $15/month, includes four times the usage of Free plus Plan, Agent and Debug Mode, and is licensed for non-commercial coursework. It is not currently offered in the EU, EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland; students there should use the Free plan or Professional. If your institution’s address is academic but is not recognised at sign-up, email us and we will check it.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Paid plans are month to month and can be cancelled from the dashboard at any time. Checkout and billing run through Stripe.
Do I need my own SOLIDWORKS license?
Yes. CADABRA is an add-in, not a CAD system. You keep your existing SOLIDWORKS license, files, libraries, and PDM, and CADABRA works inside them.
