AI that works inside SOLIDWORKS, on your license.
CADABRA installs as an add-in and appears in the task pane. It edits the open model, produces the drawings, and answers questions about the file, without a migration and without leaving the window.
Automation without writing macros.
SOLIDWORKS has decades of automation surface, the API, macros, design tables, and configurations, and every one of them requires somebody to write and maintain the automation.
CADABRA closes that gap by resolving intent at run time against the actual model. You describe the outcome and it performs the SOLIDWORKS operations.
What it does in the pane.
Agent Mode edits the model.
Describe a change and CADABRA performs the real feature operations: holes, fillets, patterns, thickness, material. The same edit repeats across a part family without a macro.
- Hole Wizard, fillets, patterns, and geometry changes.
- Repeats across a family or a set of configurations.
- Everything lands in the feature tree, editable.
Drawings Mode documents it.
Views, sections, dimensions, hole callouts, BOM, balloons, title block, PDF. For one part or for every part in the assembly. Available on the Enterprise plan with your own standards configured.
- Batch every part in a single pass.
- Your title block, sheet sizes, and dimension styles.
- PDF export ready for manufacturing.
Ask Mode explains it.
Questions about geometry, features, materials, and mass properties, answered against the open document. It also searches the web for pricing, material data, and process information without leaving SOLIDWORKS.
- Read-only, so it cannot change anything.
- Diagnoses rebuild errors, mate failures, and dangling relations.
- Live web search for specs and rates.
It finds the part you already own.
Ask for a fastener and CADABRA sizes it to the hole, sources it from a part you name or from your SOLIDWORKS Toolbox, inserts it and mates it.
- Company part, then Toolbox, then a generated screw.
- Mated concentric to the bore and coincident to the hole mouth.
- Pin the source if you do not want it choosing.
Adding AI to SOLIDWORKS takes about five minutes.
-
01
Download the installer
Get the add-in from the download page. It is a single Windows installer.
-
02
Close SOLIDWORKS and run it
SOLIDWORKS must be closed while the add-in registers itself. The installer handles the rest.
-
03
Enable the add-in
Reopen SOLIDWORKS and tick CADABRA in the add-ins list. It appears in the right-hand task pane.
-
04
Start prompting
Open a part and describe what you want. Nothing about your files, your license, or your PDM changes.
On the SOLIDWORKS name.
